Echo and the Bunnymen-medlemmar bildar nya bandet Poltergeist

Medlemmar från Echo and the Bunnymen bildar nya bandet Poltergeist.

Gitarristen Will Sergeant och basisten Les Pattinson har annonserat sitt nya musikprojekt Poltergeist. Musikerna spelar annars i Echo and the Bunnymen  och bildar tillsammans med The Black Velvets trummis Nick Kilroe en trio som planerar att släppa sitt debutalbum Your Mind Is A Box (Let Us Fill It With Wonder) redan den 4 mars i år.

På bandets Soundcloud skriver de följande om sitt nya vägval:

“We create a form of rock music with its toes paddling in the progressive ocean foam of the sixties and seventies and its head in the bone dry air of the present day. We want to try and get away from the traditional band format of the line across the stage. There are 12 notes in a scale and we intend to use most of them.”
