Kanye West har blivit en Jesus-skulptur

I mänsklig storlek.

Vi kunde under gårdagen rapportera om att David Bowie planeras hyllas med ett landmärke i Brixton. Nu har även Kanye West fått sig en hyllning i West Hollywood i form av en mänsklig skulptur som avbildar honom som Jesus. Det är konstnären Plastic Jesus som ligger bakom skulpturen som visar en korsfäst Jesus-inspirerad Kanye West – dock utan själva korset.

I en intervju med The Hollywood Reporter har Plastic Jesus uttalat sig om konstverket.

“[West is] a genius at writing and producing but he’s not a God, and that’s where we put him. Until there’s an issue in his life or a hiccup in his career, then we crucify him.”

“By all means, treat and respect these people are artists, but don’t make them into gods—because we crucify our gods.”
