I går svämmade internet nästan över efter att ett rykte om titeln på Kanye Wests nya album spreds. Enligt många sidor, däribland BBC, sades hans kommande album gå under namnet I Am God. En säker källa i Wests läger slår i dag ner dessa påståenden i HuffPost Entertainment men avslöjar samtidigt att det inte var helt taget ur luften.

Det är nämligen Kanye Wests kommande singel som enligt källan heter I Am A God:

”We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being. While everyone will have to wait for the actual song to parse the specifics of the song’s message, the source hinted that the idea was generally that all people are manifestations of a higher power.”

Titeln är även en referens till Psalm 82, där följande står att läsa: ”I said, “You are gods, / And all of you are children of the Most High. / But you shall die like men, / And fall like one of the princes.”

Detta bekräftades senare av G.O.O.D. Musics spoken word-artist och textförfattare Malik Yusef, något som förstås styrker uppgifterna till HuffPost Entertainment.
