Macklemore & Ryan Lewis tar paus för att hitta inspiration

Efter ett hektiskt år väntar ett år utan album och turnéer.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis gästade Sverige dubbelt upp i år. Först knockade de Bråvalla, sedan intog de Globen i Stockholm. I ryggen hade de dundersuccén – albumet The Heist – som sålts i över en miljon exemplar. Bandets manager Zach Quillen berättar för XXL att en paus är att vänta.

“Yeah, we’re gonna disappear for a little while. This album cycle is coming to a close. We’ll I imagine go to the Grammys in January this year and afterwards, kind of call it quits for a bit and take some time off. The guys are gonna get into the studio next year and see what happens. But we’re in no rush.”

Så nästa år blir det inga nya spelningar eller ny musik, dock inspiration för bandets nästa album, om vi får tro Quillen.

“There’s no Macklemore mixtape or attempt at kind of staying around. I think we’re gonna disappear for a little while and try to make some good music and find an interesting way of putting it out. I think it’ll be a quiet year.”
