The Libertines med planer på nytt album

Album nummer fyra är i sikte.

Framtiden kring The Libertines är alltid oviss – men nyligen har de levererat en efterlängtad tredje fullängdare, den första på hela elva år i Anthems For Doomed Youth. Och redan nu har det börjat pratas om framtiden, huruvida ytterligare ett album är aktuellt eller inte. I en intervju med Gigwise avslöjar bandmedlemmen Gary Powell att de börjat blicka framåt och att det redan finns material som ligger och väntar.

”We have actually spoken in length about the possibilities of moving forwards,”

”We spoke it in Thailand. I remember Pete said ’I’d love to do another album’.”

”Pete’s got bits of material floating around that he would love to delve into. Because we’re better individuals now, within the same main frame, John’s got stuff he wants to do, Carl’s got stuff he wants to do, I’ve got stuff we want to do and at some stage we do want to start compiling all of that stuff. There’s stuff that was done previously in The Libertines’ previous incarnation that the guys would really, really like to explore and see what we can actually do with that. There’s lots of variations on the theme going on, regarding the new incarnation of where we would actually like to go next.”
