El-P jobbar med Zach de la Rocha

Ingen rast eller vila för Run the Jewels.
Nästa vecka gör Run the Jewels, EL-P och Killer Mike, ett eftertraktat Sverigebesök när de besöker Debaser Medis i Stockholm. Med på deras fantastiska debut Run the Jewels 2 fanns Rage Against The Machines Zach de la Rocha, som nu EL-P åter ska jobba med enligt NME. EL-P har tydligen sagt följande när han besökte Rough Trade East i London.
In 1999 I spent a month in my apartment in Brooklyn with Zack de la Rocha just before he split Rage Against The Machine, working on music that will never see the light of day. I can’t speak about his future but I will say that I’m going to LA to spend another month with him in January.
EL-P skrev senare på Twitter att samarbetet inte var 100 % bestämt än, men att det fanns goda chanser för att det skulle ske. ”please understand the ZDLR thing is not at all %100. y’all gonna fuck it up by jumping the gun on that one. bad luck. BAD LUCK I SAY.” efterföljdes av ”or maybe I’m lying about it not being confirmed. hard to tell, really. not sure i even know if i know.”
När Killer Mike fick frågan hur Run the Jewels framtid såg ut svarade han i sin tur att arbetet på Run the Jewels 3 skulle börja redan i januari. Notera även att duon ska ge ut Meow the Jewels – Run the Jewels 2 återinspelad med endast kattljud. Hur det går med det projektet är ännu oklart.
