Ke$ha i samarbete med The Strokes, The Black Keys och Iggy Pop på nya albumet Warrior.

Ke$has nya album Warrior släpps den 3 december. I en intervju med Spin avslöjar stjärnan att hon arbetat tillsammans med The Strokes medlemmar Julian Casablancas och Fab Moretti och The Black Keys Patrick Carney. Musikerna har bidragit till ett mer rockorienterat sound på Ke$has låtar. Skivan innehåller dessutom ett samarbete med Iggy Pop. I intervjun säger Ke$ha följande:

”They just were down, and I was down. A friend of mine plays with Julian and we kind of knew each other, and Julian really likes Dr. Luke so they were talking, and it kind of happened oddly organically and in a strange way. I’m a huge fan of their music, and they’re on one of my favorite songs on the record. They’re part of a long list of some of my favorite bands that have actually collaborated with me on this record. It’s really exciting for me to work with people that are unexpected. I hope people freak out. I kind of freaked out when he was like, ”Sure.” I was like, ”Really?!”

Ja, att en hel del fans till rockbanden kommer ställa sig skeptiska till detta är förmodligen en underdrift. Redan nu går det att lyssna på låten Only Wanna Dance With You, som The Strokes-duon gästar på.
