La Roux jobbar på nytt album

Ett tredje album är på ingång.
Med hitsinglarna Bulletproof och In For the Kill skakade Elly Jackson, mer bekant som La Roux om den brittiska dansscenen. Hennes tydliga flört med 80-talet uppskattades, precis som hennes fängslande frisyr, vilken prydde samtliga omslag. Efter en långvarig tystnad återvände hon 2014 med albumet Trouble in Paradise, ett album som mottogs varmt, men som inte skakade om några dansgolv.
Nu meddelar La Roux att vi inte kommer behöva vänta allt för länga på dess uppföljare.
”I’ve been doing a bit of writing and realising where its going. through it sort of telling me and then listening to music after that, rather than trying to put that music into my music,”
”It will sound a lot [more] free and soulful. I’m not saying soulful in a classic way, I’m not going to make a soul record full of ballads and work with Rick Rubin. This is not my vibe. I’ll always want it to be futuristic. I want this record to be a lot more innovative and have the classic emotion of soul but still be futuristic and innovative. I don’t want to go over old ground musically at all.”
