Marcus Mumford och Justin Young från The Vaccines tolkar Bob Dylan och Neil Young

Att Marcus Mumford och Justin Young hade ett gott öga till varandra visste vi sedan tidigare, då Mumford & Sons-frontmannen under sommaren tolkade The Beatles tillsammans med bland andra Youngs band The Vaccines. Men det stannar inte där. NME rapporterar i dag att de båda frontmännen spelat in en Daytrotter-session under helgen (Mumford & Sons gjorde en sådan redan under fjolåret), där de tolkat spår av både Bob Dylan och Neil Young.
De två inspelade låtarna – Like A Hurricane och Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright – förväntas dyka upp på sajten i oktober och Daytrottergrundaren Sean Moeller berättade följande för den brittiska tidsskriftsjätten:
”It was about 2am in Troy, Ohio Saturday night when Marcus plucked Justin out of the waterpark pool on the Stopover grounds – the after party was raging ’til 4 am there – to come on up to the un-airconditioned Troy High School auditorium to record Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright and Like A Hurricane, learning them on the spot, while we, along with the exhausted superintendent of the school and his family looked on from the back row. Then we all went to the after-after party, smoked cigars, and got twice as smashed at The Leaf & Vine, in a ghostly town square.”
