Mastodon släpper albumet ”Once More Round The Sun” och ny EP

Precis som lovat kommer albumet i år.
Sverigeaktuella Mastodon besöker Stockholm Fields 30 maj. Metalbandet från Atlanta är dessutom aktuella med ett nytt album, vi vet ännu inte när det landar i skivbutikerna. Men uppföljaren till 2011 års tokhyllade samling The Hunter går under namnet Once More Round The Sun. Frontmannen Troy Sanders avslöjar fler albumdetaljer i en intervju med Paste.
”We’re all over the world as far as themes go but there are a few sprinkles of epic goodness. A lot of people ask us if it kicks off where ’The Hunter’ left off. And to a large degree, I suppose yes. We recorded it and took it on the road with us, and then we headed back to our rehearsal space and started working out ideas. I’ve had a lot of time to ingest this record, and it’s solid. It’s a large slab of granite. I’m once again completely proud of these guys.”
Men det stannar inte där, albumet kommer följas av en EP med material som inte fick plats på albumet. Förvänta er alltså mycket från den älskade sludgekvartetten.
